The Internet, Redefined: Foursquare

by Randy Murray on January 9, 2013

A game-like app that allows both strangers and friends to track your every movement and then rewards you with little pictures and meaningless titles when you buy things.

More redefinitions.

By the way, did you abandon on your idea to create an anti-foursquare app based on the principles of The Spend Nothing Game?

Not at all. I’m still trying to talk developer friends into making it a reality.

Great! You don’t know how much you inspired (and motivated) us to be frugal. I’m about to get married, and I’m determined to apply that principles with my fiancee.

Good for you - and congratulations!

My wife and I married just before our senior year of college. For the first several years we recorded EVERY PENNY we spent in a log book. It’s fascinating now, but critical then.

Now, after 31 years of marriage, we’re well on our way to our retirement goals. You can do it too!
