Sit There And Watch The Credits

by Randy Murray on June 24, 2014

I’ve recently heard a lot of complaining (bitching, more accurately), about having to sit through all of the credits to see the little bits of teasers at the end of Marvel superhero movies. How dare they make us sit there!

Get over yourself.

The credits are part of the movie experience. Don’t be in such a rush. If you’re in an actual movie theater let the crowd stampede to the parking lot. Sit there, relax, and ponder what you’ve just seen. Leave the damn phone in your pocket. Enjoy the music and read the list of artists that had a part in this movie. Let the experience settle in.

And if there’s something else, all the better. Yes, the ushers want to clean the theater. They get paid by the hour, so you’re not inconveniencing them. Slow down and savor the experience.

If you’re home, let the credits roll. You’ve probably sat there for two hours. What’s your hurry?
